Q. If I am calling long distance in the same province do I dial "1" before the number? A. Yes.

Q. Do I have to dial "1" or "011" before I call long distance? A. Yes, for calls within Canada, USA and most Carribean countries, dial 1 + the area code plus the number, for overseas calls, 011 + country code + city code + number

Q. Can I use Planet Telecom as the operator? A. No. Planet Telecom can answer any questions you have, but can not connect your calls.

Q. I am close to a city that has a local number to access the card. Can I call that number? A. If you can place a local call to that city, then you may be able to use the local access number, otherwise you will have to use the toll free number.

Q. My card is damaged. (i.e. as a result of the laundry machine) I can not read my PIN anymore. What do I do? A. Planet Telecom is not responsible for lost or damaged PINs or cards. However, if the serial number is still intact, we MAY be able to access the PIN for you.

Q. My card has $0.23 left on it, can I recharge it? A. Yes, with a major credit card card over the phone. (minimum $20.00) It can take up to 24-hours to recharge.

Q. Can I use this card to recharge my cell phone? A. No. It can only be used for Long Distance calls.

Q. What is the rate to a specific location? A. Please call our customer service representatives, or enter you PIN in our interactive website and click "Rates".

Q. When does call charging begin? A. Call charging commences when our system recognizes the system connect from the other end. You are charged when the call connects regardless of whether or not you actually speak to anyone.(i.e. voice mail)

Q. Is there a connection fee? A. No, Planet Telecom has no connection fees nor high 'first minute' fees, talk a minute, you pay a minute.

Q. Can I use the card to call Canada or the USA when I am travelling outside of these countries? A. No. You can call anywhere worldwide but only from within Canada and the USA.

Q. My card says there is a surcharge when using the 866 number. When does this surcharge apply? A. Listed on the back of the card are the names and telephone numbers in cities where Planet Telecom has a local presence. Whenever possible use the local access numbers.
