Planet Telecom has now added the abiity to use NetMeeting and other H.323 devices to call anywhere worldwide!

Its so easy, simply log into www.planettelecom.ca and enter your userid in the space provided and click enter, next click on 'account' on the left side. Next click the 'update' button.

In the "Ident: CLID" field, enter your netmeeting name in the format 'Firstname Lastname', you must enter the space between the names. Next select H.323 and then save.

In Netmeeting, you must select 'Use Gateway' and set the gateway address to 'nm.planettelecom.org'.

If you are using an H.323 device, you must set the H323 name the same in your device and this website, set your device to send all calls(peer-to-peer) to nm.planettelecom.org (no gatekeeper).

You must enter numbers using the North American Dialing Plan. for example, calling the USA, Canada or the Caribbean '1AAANNNNNNN' where 'AAA" equals a 3 digit area code and 'NNNNNNN' equals a seven digit number. For calling other locations you must enter the prefix '011'. To call London for example, dial 0114420512345678.
